Between two oversized resonators, OPF filters on European models, and artificial sound pumped through the speakers, the stock setup filters out the very essence of the M experience.

During testing, we recorded a +34 dB increase over stock (Euro-spec, 88 dB valves open) using the following configuration:
• 200-cell catted primary downpipes
• Catless secondary downpipes
• Valvetronic catback exhaust with OPF bypass

The catback exhaust system features a free-flowing X-pipe and a single-chamber muffler (vs. triple chambers in stock), improving exhaust gas scavenging and tone clarity. When installed as part of a full catless setup, average power gains of 5–10% can be expected—thanks to reduced backpressure and optimized flow.
